My heart is so full of love for these two. Roger is my cousin and one of my best friends. We have always been super close, but we became even closer when I moved to college. He went to UVU while I was at BYU, and we lived just a few blocks away from each other. Roger basically saved my life. I could not have made it through my freshmen year without him! We did everything together, and Roger really helped me through some very difficult things that happened in my life.
So, when Roger told me last fall that he was going to marry Kylie, my protective side definitely came out. I hadn’t even met Kylie. How was I suppose to be okay with my cousin marrying someone I didn’t even know?!? Even when I photographed their proposal, I didn’t really know Kylie. But since then, I have gotten to know her, and I also love Kylie with all of my heart. I could not have hand picked anyone better for Roger. She is so kind and patient! and laughs at Roger’s jokes. Hahaha….
Being their photographer was such an honor. I don’t know if I have ever been able to so accurately capture the love two people have for each other as I feel I did with these two. It probably helps that we are all so comfortable with each other, too. Haha! I have never seen Roger smile any bigger than he does when he is with Kylie. Their “first look” was the most precious thing I have ever photographed. Roger will probably killing me for posting these, but when he saw Kylie, he just burst into tears. (That’s ok, I cried, too.) He loves her so so much, and it makes my heart so happy knowing that Roger found Kylie.
Welcome to the family, Kylie!! I love you both so so much. Thank you for letting me document your big day.
